rippikoulu
- (Christianity) Literally, a confirmation school; in the Finnish Lutheran tradition, religious classes that a person is required to complete before being allowed a Christian wedding or being accepted to become a godparent. It normally consists of 80 hours of teaching and is done at the age of 15. At the end of rippikoulu the children receive the confirmation.
