- One who, or that which, sizzles.
- 1980, New York Magazine, volume 13, number 38, page 38:
- The cannelloni ($5.50) bubbles and hisses, a creamy sizzler with a blanket of fresh chopped parsley covering that lovely noodle dough; its forcemeat of pork and chicken is both rich and mild, and the Alfredo sauce isn't overcheesed.
- (slang) A person who is very sexually attractive.
- An Indian dish of meat and vegetables served sizzling on a hot plate.
