Usage notes edit

  • The most common subject for this verb are dat and het. The adverb wel is also used very frequently in combination with this phrase.
  • The verb can take other subjects as long as they are not animate beings, but this is not very common. To indicate what is going fine, a prepositional phrase with met can be used for objects and creatures alike.
