    • 2003, Lily Burana, Strip City: A Stripper's Farewell Journey Across America, page 223:
      Ruth muffles the receiver with her hand but I can just make out her saying, “Quiet, Emily. Mommy's on the phone.” There's the slight suctiony sound of her taking her hand off the mouthpiece.
