From Middle English therover, tharover, from Old English þǣrofer, equivalent to there + over. Cognate with Dutch daarover (“thereover”), Middle Low German darover (“thereover”), German darüber (“thereover”), Danish derover (“thereover”), Swedish däröver (“thereover”).
