Romanian edit

Etymology edit

From căsător, which either comes from casă (house) or from *căsa, a hypothetical older Romanian verb which no longer survives (with the suffix -ător), from a Vulgar Latin root *casāre, from Latin casa. Compare Spanish casar (to marry), Italian accasare (to marry).
