(historical) Bessarabia (a geographic region of Eastern Europe bounded by the Dniester River on the east and the Prut River on the west; now divided politically between Moldova and Ukraine)

  Դանուբեան պատերազմին ժամանակ Յովսէփ արքեպիսկոպոս Արղութեան, սահմանէն փախած հայ գաղթականները հաւաքելով, Պեսարապիոյ սահմանին մօտ, Քիշնևէն դեպի արևելք, Դուբոսար քաղաքեն 12 վերստ հեռաւորութեան վրայ հիմնեց Գրիգորուպօլ քաղաքը (1792 յուլիս 25)։
  Danubean paterazmin žamanak Yovsēpʻ arkʻepiskopos Arġutʻean, sahmanēn pʻaxac hay gaġtʻakannerə hawakʻelov, Pesarapioy sahmanin mōt, Kʻišnewēn depi arewelkʻ, Dubosar kʻaġakʻen 12 verst heṙaworutʻean vray himnecʻ Grigorupōl kʻaġakʻə (1792 yulis 25).
  During the Danubian war, Archbishop Hovsep Arghoutian gathering the Armenian refugees fleeing from the frontier established the town of Grigoriopol near the border of Bessarabia, east of Chișinău, 12 verst away from Dubăsari (July 25, 1792).
