From տղա (tġa) +‎ աման (aman), literally "boy receptacle". Typologically compare Middle Persian [Book Pahlavi needed] (pwsdʾn' /⁠pusyān⁠/), Persian زهدان (zehdân, uterus), Northern Kurdish p’izdan (placenta).[1]
