From տղա (tġa) +‎ աման (aman), literally "boy receptacle". Typologically compare Middle Persian [Book Pahlavi needed] (pwsdʾn' /⁠pusyān⁠/), Persian (zehdân, “uterus”), Northern Kurdish p’izdan (“placenta”).^[1]
