  1. (And) (he/it) took: third-person masculine singular vav-consecutive imperfect (hence past tense) of לָקַח (lakách).
    • Exodus 2:1, with translation of the King James Version:
      וַיִּקַּח אֶת בַּת לֵוִי
      and took to wife a daughter of Levi
