From the root ת־ד־ל־ק (t-d-l-k), which was expanded from the root ד־ל־ק (d-l-k) (as in דלק (délek)).

Verb edit

תִּדְלֵק (tidlék) third-singular masculine past (pi'el construction, passive counterpart תודלק / תֻּדְלַק)

  1. to fuel, to gas up
    1. used transitively, with the direct object referring to the vehicle being fueled
    2. used intransitively, with the vehicle being left implied
    3. used intransitively, with the subject referring to the vehicle being fueled
