      wakānat rūsiyā turāqabun min baʕīd mustaḵdimatan saṭwatahā s-siyāsiyyata fī majlisi l-ʔamni liṣāliḥi bašār.
      And Russia was watching from afar using its political power in the Security Council for (the sake of) Bashar.
