Etymology edit

Inherited from Old Marathi 𑘦𑘻𑘚𑘜𑘹 (moḍaṇe), Maharastri Prakrit 𑀫𑁄𑀟𑀇 (moḍaï), from Sanskrit मोटति (moṭati). Cognate to Gujarati મોડવું (moḍvũ), Hindi मोड़ना (moṛnā), Nepali मोड्नु (moḍnu).
