From a conflation of Proto-Polynesian *-laŋa and *-raŋa, from a rebracketing of Proto-Oceanic nouns ending in /d/, /l/, /ⁿr/, /r/ and *-aŋa.

Usage notes edit

Used for verbs which take the passive suffix -ria.
