Symbol

edit

  1. A common variant of the digit 0, used to keep it distinct from the letter O.
  2. A common hack for the empty-set symbol , typeset by overstriking a 0 with a solidus ◌̸.

Usage notes

edit

Unicode encodes this glyph as a standardized variant of the normal 0 followed by Variation Selector 1 (U+FE00). In HTML 0︀ produces a slashed zero, 0︀.[1]

Not to be confused with (empty set) nor   (empty set, Variation Selector 1).[2]
