The Russian 'монисто' (literally means a necklace) comes from the OCS root 'мън-', which also gives the OCS words for many 'мъного' and negligible 'мъний' (m.g.). It's not related with any word for neck ('вратъ' or 'шия'/'шейка' in OCS). The idea of the OCS 'мънистo' > Russ. 'монисто' is that it is made by combining many elements, not that it goes around the neck. Check your facts, please!
