    Years ago, kids' story books were mainly of a bright and cheerful kind, but presumably children nowadays are more worldly wise and "realistic" from 4-yrs upwards. After all, they probably see the Iraq war on TV.
    Even so, films such as LS:ASOUE, and even Scooby-Doo, could give young kids nightmares for a week. So parents, exercise judgment!
