To verify the localization of Dsup protein in tardigrade cells, we performed immunohistochemistry with frozen sections of tardigrade embryos. In almost all tardigrade cells expressing Dsup, Dsup proteins co-localized with nuclear DNA (Supplementary Fig. 12).
