By using the opposite Latin prefix [of translation] I have suggested the term cislation, meaning carrying the reader—not the text—hither, cis, into the world inhabited by the particular work in question. Amidst the ongoing war between translators and cislators I would generally side with the latter. Translation realized as cislation necessarily challenges the reader with ways of doing, feeling, thinking and saying that are unlike the ways he knows from his own mother tongue/culture […] Whenever possible, one should stay clear from any ethnocentric policy ad translate only the language, not its culture.
