Aula de boxe na Academia Clube Coat (Setor de Clubes Esportivos Sul - Lago Sul).

Dia 26 de março pode se tornar o Dia Nacional do Boxe. É a finalidade do Projeto de Lei da Câmara (PLC) 50/2016, de iniciativa do deputado Marcelo Matos (PHS-RJ). A ideia é reconhecer e divulgar o esporte no país. O dia escolhido para comemorar é uma homenagem ao pugilista brasileiro Éder Jofre que nasceu nesta data. A proposta aguarda a indicação de relator na Comissão de Educação, Cultura e Esporte (CE). Éder Jofre é considerado um dos maiores nomes do boxe brasileiro. Nos anos 60, revistas especializadas no esporte consideraram o atleta como o melhor pugilista da década. Oficialmente o boxeador disputou 81 lutas, das quais ganhou 75, empatou quatro, e foi derrotado duas vezes. Jofre se aposentou dos ringes em 1974.
