Rattening. One of those disgraceful outrages known as "rattening" was perpetrated on Saturday night, at a brickyard worked by a man named Wood, in Sheffield. Not content with destroying several thousand bricks, they had been at considerable trouble in carrying all the barrows, planks, &c., and even the brickmaker's table, to a considerable distance, and had thrown them down an unused pit-shaft. Wood is not a member of the Brickmakers' Union.
