begins; soften half ateaspoon-ful of gelatine and the tablet of pinkcoloring material that conies in somegelatine packages (if this be not athand tint later on with color paste)in a tablespoonful of cold water andadd to the syrup, when it is taken fromthe fire. When cold add one cup oflemon juice and freeze as usual. In-stead of the lemon juice a cup and ahalf of fresh strawberry juice and thejuice of a lemon may be used. Bombe, Biscuit Tortoxi Style this in a fine stream upon the yolks ofthree eggs, beaten very light, beatingconstantly, meanwhile; return themixture to the fire and let cook overhot water until thick; add half a cupof sifted macaroon and sponge cakecrumbs, and beat occasionally untilcold, then add a generous teaspoon-ful of vanilla and fold in one cupof cream, beaten solid.
