Fordson (plural Fordsons)

  1. A make of motor vehicle, notably tractors, produced by the Ford Motor Company. The name was dropped in 1964 and replaced by Ford.
    • 1946 July and August, “Notes and News: The Ravenglass & Eskdale Railway”, in Railway Magazine, page 255:
      For working the reinstated passenger service last summer, the large Fordson tractor, normally employed on the stone trains, was used.
