MediaWiki talk:Movepage-moved
From looking at de:MediaWiki:Pagemovedtext I have learned that in the "MediaWiki:" namespace, the syntax <nowiki>$1</nowiki> seems to work just like <noinclude>[[Category:Foo bar]]</noinclude> works in the "Template:" namespace. --Connel MacKenzie T C 17:57, 13 February 2006 (UTC)

It might be that using italics would mark pagenames eaven better:
- Remember to fix double redirects that point to "$1"
If you don't hate italics add them consistently to all relevant messages. Regards Gangleri | w: Th | T 00:58, 17 February 2006 (UTC)
- OK, I added the double-quotes around that last $1. I added <samp>'s around things that might have special characters hiding (especially from vandals.) --Connel MacKenzie T C 01:14, 17 February 2006 (UTC)
What about
- Remember to fix double redirects that point to "$1" .
- If the $1|redirect=no}} talk page was also moved, please fix double redirects to it also .
unnecessary to fix double redirects
editSince it's now unnecessary to fix double redirects, and these are anyway uncommon on enwikt, can we remove the request that the moving editor fix them?—msh210℠ 20:07, 20 April 2009 (UTC)
talkpage double redirect in message
editThe phrase:
...fix double redirects to it also: Special:Whatlinkshere/Talk:$4
should be
...fix double redirects to it also: Special:Whatlinkshere/Talk:$3
- $3 contains the old pagename!
- $4 contains the new pagename!
- Now the articlepage is mentioned with $3 and the talkpage with $4, wich is quite confusing. Sumurai8 12:00, 22 September 2009 (UTC)
