Singaporean 烏仔/烏囝

@Justinrleung: I think it's a typo, but this was added by User:Singaporelang. It makes more sense that 鳥 would be the correct character. Usually in Singapore, á is not as widely used as in Taiwan, and 囝 is much more common as a dimunitive. The dog2 (talk) 20:52, 6 February 2024 (UTC)

@Justinrleung @The dog2: From my experience i believe á and kiánn are both used though, just that the latter might be slightly more commonly used as a diminutive. á is retained in gin-a (child), hinn-a (ear), hoan-a (referring to the Malays in Singapore), boa-ia (crocodile), thang-a (window), etc. Singaporelang (talk) 14:59, 2 July 2024 (UTC)

@Justinrleung: oops, a typo, supposed to be 鳥 (chiáu), they look pretty similar. i've only heard "tsiau-kiann m-pat lastic", in this case tsiau-a isn't used commonly in Singapore Singaporelang (talk) 15:06, 2 July 2024 (UTC)
