LatvianEdit

EtymologyEdit

First recorded as a given name of Latvians in 1913. Apparently a neologism from the Germanic given name elements Nor- "north" and -mund "protection" ( as in English Norman and Edmund), although a corresponding very rare Old High German name has been recorded.

Proper nounEdit

Normunds m

  1. A male given name.
