From 𐎷𐎰𐎼 (mi-θ-r /⁠Miθraʰ⁠/, Mithra) +‎ *-ānah (patronymic suffix). Cognate with Parthian 𐭌𐭕𐭓𐭍 (Mihrān),[1] whence Old Armenian Միհրան (Mihran).
