editThe precise Svan descendant is debated. According to Klimov it's Svan თე (te), however according to Fähnrich–Sarǯvelaʒe თე (te) is derived from Proto-Kartvelian *ter- (“white”) and instead they derive Svan შდულ (šdul, “loophole, embrasure”).
