Gothic bijandzuþþan could also attest this compound, but it could also represent *bijand(i)z + *-uh + *þan. Gothic nauhuþþan is the only sure attestation because a formation *nuh (*nu + *-uh) + *-uh + *þan would make very little sense. Burgundaz (talk) 05:15, 23 August 2021 (UTC)
