Yoron?

@Kwékwlos, surely the proposed Yoron derivation from 手ぬ首 would mean wrist, not neck? C.f. mainland Japanese 手首 (tekubi, “wrist”).

Even if the Yoron term does mean neck, the derivation given here would make it a derivation from proto kubi, not a descendant. ‑‑ Eiríkr Útlendi │^{Tala við mig} 20:55, 22 November 2022 (UTC)

Indeed, Thorpe (1983) indicates the compound word in Yonaguni (not Yoron) with the meaning "wrist". Looks like I forgot to put the meaning on it. Kwékwlos (talk) 21:14, 22 November 2022 (UTC)
