editThe form "єбати" is not inherited, it's borrowed from Russian "ебать". The form "їбати" is the only correct continuation of the Proto-Slavic *jěbati in most Ukrainian dialects.
Compare other words with *ě and prosthetic *j at the beginning: (j)ěsti —> їсти, not +єсти; (j)ěd'ja —> їжа; (j)ěxati –> їхати, not +єхати. 185.17.127.252 00:56, 6 July 2022 (UTC)
