Though the third stem كافأ means “to reward”, the meaning “to be rewarded” is not given in dictionaries for the sixth stem تكافأ, but “to be on par” – this is remarkable and points to it not being present, as the VIth stem is usually a reflexive of the IIIrd. One might have an idea how the creator of the entry for the sixth stem, which is identical for the third, @Dick Laurent, could have fallen to this misperception. If one searches for تكافأ, one reads such a passive meaning: But those constructions are all the inflectional passive of the third stem.
