I have combed through a Google search and could not find this spelling used anywhere, only the one without the dot (フリーランサー). It seems to me that this is a misspelling, anyway, as the dot generally represents spaces in English source terms. @Daniel Carrero: You added it to Wiktionary:Wanted entries (https://en.wiktionary.org/w/index.php?title=Wiktionary:Wanted_entries&diff=36207164&oldid=36207139).
