Chinese disambiguation

edit

I'm not sure how we handle all the terms that could be disambiguated among Chinese terms. Maybe we just have a policy not to bother. In any case, this placename comes from this Brill article as well as the various pre-existing Wikipedia uses, which may have other cites as well. It's distinct from 娄烦, the present-day "Loufan County" in Taiyuan Prefecture. Its name may have developed as a variant of this one, which I'd assume was originally a transcription of a Xiongnu name, but no source for either of those ideas at the moment. — LlywelynII 07:04, 12 January 2018 (UTC)Reply

@LlywelynII Do you remember where you got that sense from? I can't find it anywhere. — justin(r)leung (t...) | c=› } 01:10, 31 January 2018 (UTC)Reply
