Wikispecies
editI was wondering why the Wikispecies link was reverted?
This, together with the English Wikipedia article link should be outside of the Chinese and Japanese sections. Would it not fit into a Translingual section at the top?

- @True bugman: Translingual is not used for multi-character entries. See WT:AMUL for details. — justin(r)leung { (t...) | c=› } 16:09, 26 February 2024 (UTC)
- I see that as the convention on the Han character vs. compound articles, though I cannot see why from WT:AMUL. Anyway, how would you then deal with common information on compound, multi-character pages, for example English Wikipedia and Wikispecies templates in common to both Chinese and Japanese sections?

- @True bugman: This info should just be repeated in the respective sections. It does not need to be housed together in the same section. — justin(r)leung { (t...) | c=› } 16:55, 26 February 2024 (UTC)
- Also, Wikispecies is generally not linked to from the common names of species. — justin(r)leung { (t...) | c=› } 16:56, 26 February 2024 (UTC)
- Oh, ok. I was just copying other articles where this was done. As a biologist, I assumed it was only used in the case where the common name corresponds to exactly one species. Most common names often match multiple species, so a Wikispecies link makes no sense.

- Great! Thank you.
