i wonder if this is all traceable to just a single word, buckaroo, that got reinterpreted as a diminutive of buck. possibly with help from kangaroo, though i would not put weight on that since there is no kang, and if there were it still wouldnt be pronounced the right way. —Soap— 17:29, 2 August 2021 (UTC)
