"G.I.F." wasn't a free-floating English term that happened to eventually be used as a translingual file extension, was it? The file extension was created in English and gave its name to the file type, even if there is some clerical reason we put file extensions under mul like how we pretend species names aren't just New Latin. — LlywelynII 19:11, 13 September 2024 (UTC)
