muppet exists as a genericized noun. The uppercase might exist as a case-variant of that?__Gamren (talk) 14:36, 21 June 2021 (UTC)
- Apart from the more obvious, Muppet is used as an attributive noun in "Muppet remake", "Muppet board book", "Muppet chorus", "Muppet head", "Muppet accent" etc. in reference to Jim Henson's creations. The OED apparently lists it with the British meaning of an incompetent or foolish person. Derived terms include "Muppet News Flash", "Muppetlike", and "row like a Muppet", all for which I can find citations with uppercase. My favorite is "Muppet breath". This is clearly widespread use.
