Needs a real Etymology. Possibly needs correcting.

Here the entry says that the word literally means "prophets"; while Wikipedia says it literally means "spokespersons". Someone might suggest that it means neither. Can some heavy-duty sources be brought in on this etymology? Misty MH (talk) 10:23, 4 November 2022 (UTC)
