Just Plymouth?

I always thought that it included other pilgrims. That is, other people who came from Europe, but most especially England. I thought it included other early Euro-Americans who came by boat. I thought the term went all the way up to either the Revolutionary War or a little before, then they were no longer pilgrims (Pilgrims?) but the descendants of pilgrims. While the Plymouth colony may have been one of the first colony by pilgrims, it wasn't the only one. I feel like I naturally learned the word in this sense; and that a pilgrim is an old American who wore a bonnet or carried a musket, not just one from Plymouth.Wacape (talk) 20:45, 16 October 2022 (UTC)
