The genus is usually credited directly to Gray instead of to De Candolle, whom Gray claimed to be respecting in his paper. Presumably, De Candolle was originally describing some other species which were removed from the genus before Gray's paper, leading to the confused attribution. If possible, it would be best to mention De Candolle's original sense here as well. — LlywelynII 06:13, 19 June 2019 (UTC)
