Pard' me for saying so, but 'the grass is always greener...' is not a synonym for 'a bird in the hand...'. 'a bird in the hand...' stands for: to posess. 'the grass is always greener...' stands for: to envy. 'Envying' is not a synonym for 'posessing'. A synonym for 'a bird in the hand...' would rather be: 'better half an egg than an empty shell' (litterally translated) or as they say in English: 'better half a loaf than no bread' - Helmarsan 12:05, 16 june 2007 (UTC)
