I just changed the past tense from attritted to attrited. I suspect both are used .... this is a somewhat clumsy word, and there may not be a stable spelling for the past tense. The one citation we have for it spells it with a single /t/, however, so I would say that the single-t spelling stands on firmer ground than the double. While this may seem counterintuitive at first, it follows the precedent of other polysyllabic words like edited. Soap (talk) 02:21, 21 October 2019 (UTC)Reply
