"two front forty and two back forty"

Actually there's only one back forty per parcel. There are four 160 acre parcels in a 640 acre square mile section. Section roads are spaced one mile apart, thus there are four adjacent "back forty's" per section (one per parcel) that aren't on one of the roads. 2604:4C40:300C:FF05:2A40:F2B9:24ED:32E4 00:06, 16 February 2024 (UTC)
