Use of the term "African-Americans" edit

The term "African-Americans" in this context feels slightly inappropriate, as the stereotype that is being referred to applies to Black males in general, and not exclusively to those who are Americans, i.e., citizens of the USA. In Canada, for instance, Black people are not referred to as African-Americans, while the expression may still be used. The same goes for other Anglophone examples. Moreover, even in the American context not every Black male falls under the category "African-American", as there are plenty of Black males present in the U.S. who are from other countries. 168.91.24.204 21:00, 9 December 2022 (UTC)Reply
