The opposite meaning

Reading w:Gone with the Wind (novel) I see Captain Rhett Butler described as the famous Southern / Confederate blockader / blockade runner whose role is to smuggle on his ships goods to and from Southern ports blocked by the Northerners, but this meaning is not in this and related articles.
