Are we sure this word wasn't just created by removing the space from bona fide? They have the same meaning and pronounciation. If it is then I think we should merge the two.

We don't merge different spellings. Each legitimate spelling has its own separate entry. This is not Wikipedia. We have entries for words, not articles about ideas. --EncycloPetey 00:48, 29 August 2008 (UTC)
