"He really brought it today" connotes (to me) that he didn't just try hard, he did well, perhaps dominantly [1], [2], [3]. Personally, I would consider combining the definitions, but if not it looks like there's support for the sense on its own. --dmh 06:17, 6 August 2010 (UTC)Reply
