There is such thing as "wrong" spelling. On Wiktionary, every attested spelling is equally valid. Specifically, we may characterize certain spellings as conforming to certain standards (e.g. official orthography), and redirect orthographical variants via templates to the preferred spelling ("all words are equal, but some are more equal than others").
