What is etiquette here?

Is it the done thing to jump in and add to this page, or leave for user:Długosz to complete?

My intention was to save it rather than leave it open in my browser for a few hours, in case someone did edit it, there would be no conflict. I can see that it is ambiguous; I'll be clear next time whether I have something in mind and really want to type it myself, or don't mind if someone beats me to it. —Długosz
