A study of the Biblical references to emerods indicates not haemorrhoids, which would seem to be a guess due to similarity of pronunciation, but to the bubos of the Bubonic plague. In most references it is associated with a mice plague. Ptilinopus (talk) 08:05, 3 April 2021 (UTC)
